Gyrex Model 8300 Infrared Dryer

[ Principles of Operation ] [ Technical Specifications] [ Pictures ]

The Gyrex Model 8300 Double Sided Infrared Tack Drying system is designed to tack-dry etch resist, solder mask, and legend inks on printed circuit board substrates. It is important to recognize the following unique general features of the Gyrex Infrared Drying process:

  • The PCB is moved through the drying system on a conveyer that exits at the other end. This conveyor makes the machine an excellent choice for automation, as it can easily be matched up to a spray coating system;
  • Average process time to tack-dry solder mask on a .062 board is 7-10 min, average process time for legend ink is under 5 min;
  • Conveyor easily adjusts to accommodate any board width from 12 in to 24 in;
  • The Model 8300 dries both sides of the board evenly and consistently;
  • Six separate heating sections can be adjusted to assure proper heating;
  • Conveyor speed can be quickly changed to adjust for varying board thickness’;
  • Operator control is performed via an easy to use touch screen on the operator control panel;
  • Processes are controlled by a sophisticated programmable logic controller;
  • Board leaves cooling section at room temperature. It can be handled immediately and may be placed in an exposing machine;

The simplicity of the machine means less operator interface, fewer adjustments and less maintenance than other alternatives.
